The Flip to Deflate Cap offers an affordable way to quickly deflate your tires for off-road use.
This handy valve stem cap features a deflator built-in to the cap so it is always there when you need it.
HOW IT WORKS:
1 – Remove the cap from your valve stem and remove the rubber cover
2- Flip the cap over and screw back onto your valve stem (The cap depresses your valve core and deflates your tires).
3- Monitor your tire pressure until you reach your desired pressure, then remove the cap, flip it back over and reinstall on your valve stem.
BEST PRACTICE: Time how long it takes to air down to your desired pressure (you will start your timer when you first remove the cap and time until you reach your desired pressure, then stop the timer). Now that you have your baseline pressure, follow these steps:
1- Start your timer, remove your first cap, flip it over and reinstall to deflate. Leaving your timer running, walk around your vehicle and screw the deflator side on to each wheel until you return back to your first wheel. Wait for the timer to reach your baseline timed pressure, then remove the cap and reinstall. Walk around the vehicle and simply remove each cap and reinstall in the order you first started the process. This will put you very close to your desired pressure on all 4 tires.
2- Check your pressure with a gauge to confirm PSI. Dial in pressure if needed.Â
NOTE: This cap/deflator does not have pre-set PSI settings. You have to monitor the pressure as you air down.
